Roof Top Tent Rally

The Roof Top Tent Rally (RTTR) is an annual event by Blue Ridge Overland Gear, taking place from October 18-20, 2024, at James River State Park in Gladstone, Virginia. This family-friendly event offers adventure travel workshops, outdoor gear vendors, live music, and a community bonfire. Attendees can enjoy hiking, biking, and fishing in the park’s scenic surroundings. The event welcomes all forms of camping, except RVs and freestanding campers, keeping an intimate atmosphere with a 250-vehicle limit.

The Roof Top Tent Rally also features educational workshops on vehicle recovery and overland medical care. Participants can savor food from local vendors and craft beer from Loose Shoe Brewing Company. The event promotes family participation with activities for children and backcountry survival games. It’s an excellent opportunity for overlanding enthusiasts to connect, learn, and share their passion for adventure in a relaxed, communal setting.
